TOWARD Psychometrics

We are also in the process of developing a unique psychometric tool that measures how a leader is contributing to the incubation of crisis or failure within their business. In the current climate of financial vulnerability and scrutiny, this tool is well placed to allow large corporations and public sector bodies to discover how to build resilience before and during crises. This innovative project is part funded by InterTrade Ireland and is supported by the world-class Psychology Department from Trinity University, Dublin. The MTQ48

The MTQ48 (Mental Toughness Questionnaire) looks at an individual’s commitment, confidence, sense of control (emotionally and with life) and how they perceive challenge. It provides the individual with an overall score in relation to their Mental Toughness and the four components that make up Mental Toughness. It is a confidential, online psychometric test that takes about 15 minutes to complete and generates a series of useful reports that provide live feedback to the individual. It can also be used with an entire team or organisation and can generate Organisational Development reports that highlight trends in the wider group.


The ILM72

The ILM72 (Integrated Leadership Measure) provides an insight into the leadership style of an individual drawing from all the main theories and research into leadership styles.

It measures the individual across six specific scales:

  • task v person
  • flexible v dogmatic
  • de-centralised v centralised
  • reward v punishment
  • the means v the end and
  • structured v organic.

It also scores three global scales: determination to deliver; engagement with others/individual cohesion and team cohesion. It is a confidential, online psychometric test that takes about 15 minutes to complete and generates a series of useful reports that provide live feedback to the individual. It can also be used with an entire team or organisation and can generate Organisational Development reports that highlight trends in the wider group.


FIRO-B

The FIRO-B (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) looks at an individual’s fundamental interpersonal orientation across 3 main themes of inclusion, control and mood. It is a beneficial tool in exploring how interpersonal relationships impact the performance of a team or an organisation and has been used and refined over a period of 50 years. It is a confidential, online psychometric test that takes about 15 minutes to complete and generates a series of useful reports that provide live feedback to the individual. It can also be used with an entire team or organisation and can generate Organisational Development reports that highlight trends in the wider group.
